Software Developer – Browser-Based Technology

 

Location : Sacramento, CA

Duration : 12 Months

Description :

 

The Software Developer(s) - Browser-Based Technology shall be responsible for software requirements analysis, design of system modifications, and software maintenance, coding, testing, and implementation activities. The Software Developer(s) shall provide recommendations for best supporting the needs of users in terms of system performance, and will specify, design, test, and implement appropriate measures for ensuring data access, security and performance requirements and for maintaining data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years full-time equivalent (FTE) experience within the last seven (7) years performing the full range of application development activities, including analysis of requirements, design, coding, testing and implementation, including:

 

·         Two (2) years’ experience in Websphere Application Server, Java, and J2EE in the n-tier environment.

·         Experience should include building frameworks, object design and development, integration between a database and Websphere using Java and SQL, and development using Websphere Rapid Application Developer (RAD) or Eclipse.

 

·         One (1) year experience with system administration experience (including monitoring and tuning system performance, and maintaining data integrity and security).

·         One (1) year experience in performing release management activities (i.e. deploying software applications on development, test and production environments).

·         One (1) year experience in:

-       Source control tools and Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as PVCS, Serena, Clearcase, etc.

-       Creating Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, including Activity, Sequence, and Class diagrams

-       Documentation of low level and high level technical designs

Desirable Additional Qualifications

 

·         Experience working with Struts framework

·         Experience working with Jasper Reports tool

·         Experience writing test scripts

·         Experience performing application development activities for public health client-based service programs.
