Web Application Developer

 

Location: Miami FL

Duration: 6+ Months

Rate: Market

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a developer able to complete assigned tasks on time and with quality
• Take guidance from other senior technical specialists to create the high quality and efficient code
• Participate in peer reviews on specifications, design and code
• Work with the development teams in Citi Compliance to resolve development and implementation issues
• Work with UX technology and compliance teams to ensure that requirements are fully understood and
• documented in order to deliver quality design deliverables
• Work with project teams to plan integration and implementation phases
• Mentor junior staff

Primary Skill Set:

• Minimum 2-3 years of web applications development experience, 10 years in Information Technology
• Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle.
• Experience across a full web application technology stack
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience with relational database, design, deployment, implementation
• Prefer recent version of Oracle 10g/11g and/or MSSQL 2008 or similar
• Working knowledge of SQL, competent in reading writing queries, understanding of CRUD, DDL, DML, able to create and develop on a relational database using standard tools such as SQL Developer, SQL Server Management Studio.
• Working knowledge of web servers installation, configuration, deployment of web application hosted on WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat or similar.
• In depth experience with developing web applications built on Java frameworks, preferably JSP, Servlets
• Experience with implementation of client side page scripting JavaScipt, jQuery, ability to debug and trace client side JavaScript in browser developer tools.
• Working knowledge of data formats JSON, XML
• Experience with IT standard source code control and development tools, Eclipse, Subversion, RTC
• Must be organized and detail-oriented. Must have the ability to work closely with team members.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Flexible, motivated self-starter.
• Takes initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Secondary Skill Set :

• Experience working in corporate banking, IT environment.
• Experience with Web Services Standards(RESTful,JSON,SOAP,XML,WSDL) a plus
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as angular.js, node.js, a plus
• Familiarity with JavaScript visualization and charting frameworks preferably Sencha ExtJS, HighCharts/HighStock or similar.
• Experience with editing style sheets XSL, XSLT , CSS a plus
• Experience with build tools Maven, Ant a plus

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
