Responsibilities:

• Create process models, specifications and diagrams at different levels of detail. Document existing business processes in order to define current business activities, procedures and models (“As-Is” process mapping). Document target business processes to evaluate non-value added tasks and inefficiencies (“To-Be” process mapping) for automation opportunities.

• Meet with decision makers, process owners, subject matter experts, customers and claims system users to define business, financial and operations processes.

• Conduct interviews to extract process knowledge from key staff and translate into process maps and detailed materials that capture step-by-step activities required by each team and role to complete each process.

• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for automating processes across the Claims organization.

• Perform cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI) analysis for proposed changes to aid management in making implementation decisions.

• Identify and establish scope and parameters for process analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and performance metrics and measurements.

 

• Work closely with the Core Automation Team and Strategy Team to understand the business processes and opportunities for automation improvements.


• Design and document workflow and make recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness by documenting core operational processes, creating  detailed process maps and associated materials.

 

•Prototype new automated processes for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations and information process flow.Review current business processes and identifies areas where the processes need improvement / optimizing.

 

• Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for automating or further leveraging these processes. Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders through individual contacts and group meetings

 

• Understand how to measure business processes at various levels of detail

 

• Drive and challenge stakeholders on their assumptions of how their processes should or could be changed or automated

 

Qualifications:

  • Experienced Process Analyst  who has at least  2 years of experience in business technical and functional areas.
  • Promoter of Process Improvements with ability to document designs and create process flows.
  • Strong analytical decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively in fast-paced, highly collaborative, fluid work environments.
  • High energy, maturity, and leadership  knowledge with the ability to grow in position.
  • Commitment to work collaboratively with all groups, including staff, program participants, consultants and business partners.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.

Familiar with the vocabulary used within Insurance and the ability to engage stakeholders in meaningful insurance dialogue and insurance claim  practices.
