Product Marketing Engineer

 

Duration: 6+  months

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

Assists Business Operations Manager in product management of A-B Standard Products.
Supports Business Operations with Quality, Delivery, Customer Satisfaction/Loyalty, and Productivity.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
§ Minimum of four years of Product Management, and/or Commercial Marketing experience in Industrial Automation industry
§ Demonstrated working within a matrix environment to achieve objectives
§ Experience in development and rollout of technical training programs
§ Project Management

§ Performs all validation, audits and collaborative data entry as it pertains to management of the Product Compatibility and Download Center (PCDC) in the following key areas.

§ Product Release Notes
§ Product Status
§ Product Dependencies
§ Effectively interacts with all roles involved with the PCDC processes
§ Product Managers
§ Engineering

§ New and Legacy Products across All Businesses
§ 3rd Party Products
§ Processes to maintain product data including 3rd party
§ Associated product downloads and Available tools

§ Promotion of the PCDC Site
Leadership
§ Works with others to achieve strategic and tactical objectives for the assigned product lines. Motivates team members and others within the organization toward achieving established goals.

§ Helps develop and leverage effective working relationships across the business unit and Rockwell Automation on a global basis to achieve established product objectives.
§ Coordinates activities with other Product Management team members to achieve consistency of product usability, customer service, product look/feel, quality and system integrity.
§ Is an effective and timely global communicator; keeps team members and key stakeholders well informed of product issues/direction.
§ Actively supports new Rockwell Automation and business unit programs; helps team members and key stakeholders understand the business context for change.
§ Articulates to others how work performed impacts customer, business unit and Rockwell Automation success.
Business
§ Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
§ Responsible for assisting the Business Operations Manager and/or the Product Manager as assigned in duties required to meet global business unit and department objectives.
§ Partners with internal/external customers and coordinates through others to: resolve complex problems with broad and long-term implications; and respond with urgency to unique needs and deliver timely, cost-effective quality solutions.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
§ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
