Job Description:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent. A minimum of 3+ years experience in a large software development organization or large IT department. An in-depth knowledge of CM practices/processes, software development lifecycle and CM tools for change management, source control, project management, requirements management, test management, and/or release management.
- Must be able to facilitate meetings, give presentations, provide quantitative analysis to support decisions, excellent organizational and follow-up skills, and the ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects.
- Requires comprehensive written and verbal communication and the ability to converse effectively with all levels of employees.
- Experience using source control tools & defect tracking tools.
The successful candidate for this position will:
- Show experience working with and supporting “customers” (whether internal or external customers). Have strong technical and communication skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting end-user problems.
- Demonstrate at least 3 years working in an organization where many developers (20+) collaborate and integrate software subsystems to produce a large-scale software system.
- Have aptitude and desire to teach and train technical people on technical concepts, such as how to use specific software, and non-technical concepts, such as best practices for software configuration management.
- Have experience working with and maintaining third party enterprise applications (such as client/server database applications and web applications).
- Have basic foundation in programming. Be comfortable working with a variety of programming languages and learning new APIs, libraries, or software frameworks to integration with.
- Assist team members in identifying and providing technical solutions that address business objectives of improving software quality and increasing productivity of the development organization.
Desired:
- Experience using a major IDE such as Eclipse or Visual Studio
- Experience with Accurev for source control.
- Experience with ClearQuest for change management.
- Experience with Build Forge or Electric Cloud for release/build management.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies applied to real world situations.
- Work history with teams that are globally distributed.
- Academic or in-house courses in project management, leadership, training, TQM, and various technical applications as noted above.
