Duration – 6 months contract to Hire
Description:
Product Manager / Data Engagement Manager with proven background in Data Warehouse / ETL and data solution management through the systems lifecycle, exposure to Agile delivery and strong requirements capture and specification with other product owners or Business Analyst skills required to be primary point for stakeholders through the business to build relationships and deliver vision and roadmap for data capabilities. Must love working with our customers and be highly customer-centric individual with strong communications and organizational skills.
Skills required include
• Experience in data solution management (Cloud and on-prem based Data Warehouse technologies / ETL technologies / ), throughout the entire development and software delivery lifecycle
• Proven Product Owner, Business Analyst skills and experience of Scrum agile delivery methods
o Knowledge of techniques for requirements capture and specification, the ability to balance tactical and strategic needs and always focus on the stakeholder and customer
o Great attention to detail, an ability to assimilate, sort and aggregate complex information quickly
o Experience of working Data Architects to produce high quality artefacts as part of the delivery process
o Data industry understanding and interest with exposure to big data solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills, quick to build rapport
o Creative thinking backed by strong analytical and problem solving skills in the data domain
o Ability to influence without authority
Key responsibilities include
Proactive and energetic stakeholder engagement built upon strong personal relationships and deep understanding of what the business seeks to achieve through data
• Work with business stakeholders to create a vision and roadmap for data capabilities bringing to life innovation and trends from the data industry to raise the ambition level for data exploitation
• Overall owner (champion and advocate) of the capabilities developed, keeping Product, Program, and Technology management (and other relevant stakeholders) well informed of the status of delivery and benefits realization
• Single point of contact for clarification of requirements for Scrum teams, change management between sprint cycles and for conducting /signing off User Acceptance Testing
• Elicit, gather and capture data requirements ensuring they are well defined, clearly scoped and universally understood
• Identify evolutionary data opportunities, plan and execute features development from conceptual stages through the full product lifecycle, including determining return on investment, defining product requirements, vision, and working with data technology teams to implement and iterate
• Understand the business drivers underpinning data requirements that will drive prioritization and investment decisions. Support business case development for investment in data capabilities
• Co-ordinate delivery across all relevant channels, including impacts to downstream systems and processes
• Scrum owner for writing user stories, acceptance criteria, stocking, grooming and prioritizing backlogs, producing release plans and epic roadmaps, running show-and-tells and producing release communications and tracking benefits realization

The role will involve light to no travel.
