Job Description:

 

The Engineer must have a good understanding of working on all Network platforms that are currently being used by Retail. Namely Cisco, Juniper, Bluecat and Avocent.

 

Must be familiar with the retail setup here at Client and would be a bonus if is or has been supporting the Client Retail Network.

The work categories are:

 

Trouble Ticket : For any major/minor breakdowns related to LAN/WAN/wireless issues at the stores.

 

Service Request : SR’s are raised from other groups for new/maintenance work, that is required to be carried out. This may include store remodels or new store openings.

 

Change Request : CR’s are raised to perform any configuration changes, Acquiring approval from the concerned groups and execution.

Project work : Internal project support, wireless upgrade support, maintaining and updating monitoring tools as per need.

 

Depot support : Organise, maintain hardware Inventory in Stockley Park storage, reconfigure network devices for breakfix, small projects, and prepare for shipment. Shipment will be handled by existing storage staff.

 

·         Understanding the Priority structure for all support related issues and working closely with EMEA helpline support.

·         The Engineer will work on internal projects that may be related to different areas, network monitoring, health checks, and documentation.

·         Candidate must be able to communicate effectively, follow escalation matrix internally and externally.

·         Assist Offshore for all regional tickets during EMEA business hours
