Basic Requirements
Education:
Graduation from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialisation in computer science or information systems; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Language Requirement:
Bilingual (English and French)
Experience:
o Experience in supporting windows XP to Windows 7 migration activities
o Experience in Information Technology (IT), preferably in a customer-facing role
o Experience administering and supporting Active Directory
o Experience in Incident Management;
o Experience in technical support and customer service
o Experience in E-mail Support
o Experience in supporting Blackberrys and BES Server technology
Rated Requirements
Knowledge:
o Knowledge of ITIL framework;
o Knowledge of troubleshooting and logical problem solving methodologies;
o Specific knowledge of policies, procedures and work instructions in functional area;
o Knowledge of Service Level Agreement framework;
o Knowledge of ITSM tools such as Remedy;
o Knowledge of MS Windows based operating systems (ie. Windows 7, Windows Server); Microsoft Office, browsers and other common commercially available software titles
o Knowledge of MS Active Directory, remote control tools (ie. SCCM) and Group Policy Objects;
o Knowledge of Local and Wide Area Networks and supporting VPN technologies.
Abilities:
o Ability to provide first and second line support in a national IT environment;
o Ability to prioritise and organise work and adapt to changing priorities;
o Ability to work with minimal supervision;
o Ability to work with vendors and third parties to solve hardware, software and process problems;
o Ability to analyse, evaluate, and solve technical problems;
o Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
o Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
o Ability to handle potentially delicate customer situations in a professional manner, bringing them to a positive resolution
