Sr. Oracle DBA

The Sr. Oracle Database Administrator can expect mid to high complexity in the technology field dedicated to our Stability and Scalability program assisting in relocation our current Datacenters to CoLo facilities. Rebuilding and move Oracle Databases and applications.
· BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 6 years of database engineering experience
· Experience implementing mission critical Oracle OLTP and DSS databases.
· Hands on Experience with 10TB+ Databases
· Min. 6 years of hands on experience with Oracle 10g/11g/12g databases with adequate skills on Oracle RAC, ASM, DataGuard, back-ups, high-availability, scalability, disaster recovery.
· Solid understanding of physical and logical database design
· Familiar with Oracle Enterprise Manager
· Understands how to convert Character Sets, correct Defragmentation and manage large data sets
· Deep understanding of networking and storage technologies related to databases
· Understanding of middleware technologies as it relates to database connectivity
· Good communication skills and ability to interface with Project Managers as a Technical Lead
· Hands-on Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and troubleshooting
· Experience working with SOX/GLBA/PCI regulated financial organizations is a plus.
· Experience in vitalizing databases on VMWare is a huge plus.
