We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to provide vision, leadership, and technical direction as a member of the DevOps team. The DevOps Engineer works on the Engineering team and integrates with Development, participating and promoting a DevOps culture and will help architect the future of our business. The Engineer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the services hosted on AWS while leveraging DevOps best practices.

What you will do:

• Responsible for the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure leveraging AWS
• Treating infrastructure as code to enable provisioning, configuration management, and deployment of code
• Use Operational expertise to contribute to our DevOps Culture promoting best practices and collaboration between multiple teams
• Responsible for provisioning of environments and support development activities
• Responsible for identifying, troubleshooting and resolving system and deployment issues
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, software, or practices that contribute to overall improvements
• Possess working knowledge and a demonstrated level of competency with the application technologies employed within the enterprise solution as well as the functional behaviors of the solution components
• Effective time management and self-management skills in reference to project schedules and assigned deliverables

 

Who you are:

• Hands on Systems administration in a DevOps environment
• Experience working with containers (Docker preferred) in a Micro Services architecture
• Experience implementing and supporting a continuous delivery of code
• Experience implementing highly available infrastructure
• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc)
• Strong working knowledge of AWS environment and tools (EC2, VPCs, ELB, RDS, etc)
• Experience with the HashiCorp Suite of Tools (Terraform, Packer, Consul, Vault, etc)
• Strong coding background in scripting (python, bash, etc)
• Substantial experience troubleshooting application deployments
• Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting web servers (such as Apache) and Java containers (such as Tomcat)
• Good working knowledge of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
• Effective written and oral communication skills
