Description:

 

•             Work experience on Apache Hadoop administration(any release) (Hortonworks, Cloudera or Pivotal) with a minimum 5 years in Hadoop )

•             Hands on working knowledge of Hadoop echo system

•             Sound knowledge/experience of Linux/Unix systems

•             Proven expertise with Backup and Disaster recovery (multiple data centers)

•             Proven ability to understand industry trends and provide insights into the overall strategy

•             Ability to communicate and influence senior management

•             Ability to document processes and procedures

•             Ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities

•             Knowledge of relational DBMS platforms

•             Ability to troubleshoot database problems in depth.

•             Work with application team to propose and deploy new software and hardware environments

•             Maintain, Upgrade and Secure the Hadoop environment

•             Cluster planning and maintenance by creation and removal of nodes

•             Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Mapreduce routines

•             Ability to develop scripts and automate manual tasks

•             Perform disk space management, database backup and recovery

•             Review documentation, designs and programs to maintain Hadoop environment standards
