Software Product Engineering Manager

 

Location: Princeton NJ

Job Description:

 

·         Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 7 years of experience in software development. 

·         Manages a team of software engineers that architect and design enterprise software products. 

·         Writes product requirement documents, implements and tracks development timelines, and negotiates feature sets with the development leads and product teams. 

·         Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. 

·         Reports to CTO

 

Background requirements:

 

·         We are seeking fit with the team and attitude more than experience with any specific technology or domain

·         Working in a small very high tech start up (part of large global IT Organization). Ability to manage a team of very diverse technical SME’s with deep expertise (little overlap in skills)

·         Platform includes Knowledge modeling using predicate logic, semantic modeling, natural language processing and high volume data processing

·         Experience in managing projects involving one or more of the following technologies would be a plus, but is not mandatory for the right candidate: Clojure / OWL-RDF / Apache Storm + Kafka + Zookeeper
