Job Summary
We are looking for a strong and experienced hands on web developer, who has deep JavaScript and CSS experience. The candidate must be able to work independently, drive the requirements and development work, come up with new thoughts and ideas on how things could be done differently, what new tools and technologies that could be explores, etc., basically good depth of expertise and self-initiative. The candidate needs to develop UC clients that run on desktops and handle the complexities in integrating them with various conferencing, collaboration solutions and SIP server, etc.
Looking for not just senior resources but someone who can bring in some thought leadership, come up with new ideas on his own and drive the development work himself rather than just doing what he/she is told. Need folks who have worked on products, preferably have experience in developing SDKs, plug-ins, API that other developers have consumed, used. The mindset has to be more from a product engineering perspective rather than developing generic web applications. Exposure to communication solutions especially WebRTC will be preferred. It will be great if the candidate has his/her own technical blog or contributes to technology forums, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with product management team to develop customized experience for Real Time Communications on the web
- Strong focus on usability and design
- Provide support for the CLIENT JavaScript SDK
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Deep Web application development experience (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experience consuming Web Services
- Ability to work efficiently in a team
PREFERENCES:
- Experience with WebRTC
- Experience with Hybrid HTML5 / Mobile applications
- Experience with popular libraries: jQuery, Angular, Knockout etc.
- Experience in Telecommunications (Voice, Video, Chat) or with Telecommunication jargon
- Experience with Git, Subversion or other SCM
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 6-7 years Web application development
