Position Responsibilities:

• Primary daily responsibilities include: managing technical support incidents, and provide functional support and assistance to a local and remote user base, following specific processes and guidelines to ensure that tasks are completed consistently and efficiently.
• Receive and respond to user inquiries, requests, and escalations via telephone, email, instant message, and case tracking system professionally with speed, accuracy and proficiency 
• Participate in a weekly Genius Bar / Depot Support team that provides local and remote break/fix solutions to the Enterprise
• Document activities and resolutions in ITSM solution
• Create/support print queues on Windows based servers
• Monitor ticketing system and email for notification and internal assistance requests
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems to satisfy requests 
• Complete any necessary research and on the job training to resolve incidents in a timely and efficient manner 
• Participate in regular quarterly training courses 
• Follow up on open tickets to ensure proper response and satisfactory resolution, keep detail oriented documents regarding problems and solutions, and keep the customer updated of the status and resolution times 
• Log all incoming requests in the incident tracking system and document all actions, to include all follow up conversations, troubleshooting steps, and resolution
• Improve knowledge of, and ability to operate, all technical support tools and technologies 
• Provide end user training in small group sessions as well as perform new employee mentoring 
• Participate and/or Lead in supporting IT requirements for events such as large conference/departmental meetings or company town halls 
• Contribute technical solutions to the IT Knowledge Base 
• Participate in projects and initiatives as directed by leadership 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience         
• 3 years of previous hardware or software support experience in a large enterprise is highly desired
• Demonstrated knowledge of PC/MAC hardware, software, components and basic troubleshooting, Windows networking, LAN/WAN, DNS, TCP/IP, Active Directory system administration tasks, and mobile devices
• Basic to Intermediate knowledge or a scripting language such as Perl or PowerShell is a huge plus
• Knowledge in the following technologies: Microsoft Windows 7/8.x/10, Office Professional 2007 to 2016 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Cisco AnyConnect VPN and remote access clients, mobile devices, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, SEP Antivirus client software, imaging tools, software distribution tools (System Center Configuration Manager, etc.)

Summary:

Responsibilities

•             Install and configure systems which support Red hat Linux infrastructure and/or R&D activities.

•             Red hat Linux workstation administration including installation, configuration and support.

•             Troubleshooting issues related to virtual desktops.

•             Should able to understand NFS, NIS and Nis+ environments.

-              Incident, change and problem management – LSF & VDI

-              Proactive monitoring of LSF & VDI environment

-              Rehosting systems across different LSF queues

-              LSF queue management

-              User management – increasing LSF slots, prioritizing LSF capabilities

-              Resolve issues in design environment which involves LSF & EoD applications.

-              Creating VDI stations as per catalog requests

-              Resolving user EoD issues

-              Monitoring runaway jobs and taking  appropriate action

-              Resolving client EoD client issues on windows workstations

-              Working knowledge of VMware

-              Working knowledge in LSF multi cluster site environment to resolve issues

-              Participate with infra provider service teams to setup new systems in LSF & VDI

-              Participate in maintenance activities (planned and unplanned)

General Description                                       

                                                 

Responsibilities :-                                            

Adhering to SLAs

ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to

Should able to work independently

Handling tickets / requests to troubleshoot the nature of reported problems and taking necessary steps to resolve those problems

Troubleshooting technical issues

Data Center Cabling and perform all Cabling in accordance with industry standard best practices

Basic understanding of datacenter management, Network, Telecom and VOIP , Rack and Blade servers, Storage, Backup, Tape library

Building and configuring PCs and laptops as well as loading software, Setup applications like outlook, Wi-Fi, VPN and Backup

Setup and troubleshooting printer/faxes/copiers/RF guns or phone equipment in offices.

Tracking work tickets on ITIL based ticketing system like Service Now & Remedy

Troubleshooting network connectivity issues and diagnosing and solving hardware/software issues.

Performs repairs on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment

Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction

Performing asset inventory activities as needed

Break-fix, troubleshoot and resolve software issues; Reimaging computers/hard drives

 

                                                 

Technical Requirements                                               

                                                 

Required Skills / Qualifications:                                   

• Minimum 3rs hands on experience as deskside/Onsite support/local IT engineer                            

• Experience in Providing Hands & feet Support for Network and Datacenter Equipments/Devices             

• Strong Microsoft Operating System installation(Win XP/Win 7) and troubleshooting skills           

• Strong experience in troubleshooting MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)              

• Strong desktop support knowledge including hardware, software, and networking concepts     

• Strong skills in Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks and Printers and Handhelds                              

• Basic understanding of Audio/Video equipment and conference room setup                   

• User account creation for Active Directory, Exchange Mailboxes, Distribution lists                         

• Remote desktop connectivity applications like SMS, Bomgar, WebEx, Live Meeting, and Windows Native tools tool.Escalations                

• Troubleshoot and assist end users with mobile device setup, activations and performance issues.          

• Handheld – Blackberry, Android & IOS support knowledge                      

• Strong Customer service skills                               

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
