Duties

• Responsible for testing and improving complex applications supporting financial and investment logic running on multi technology stack platform in an enterprise environment. 
• Duties include: Coordinate with Product Managers, Software Developers and peer testers to ensure complete test coverage of the system.
• Analyze and implement various test automation tools that exercise the Application Under Test.
• Analyze requirements, plan testing timelines and milestones, author tests, execute testing, raise defects, and manage testing issues and risks.  Plan and perform functional testing, baseline testing, soak/volume testing, scalability resting, latency testing and stress testing as required by user requirements.
• Coordinate with Product Managers on improving the quality of the Application Under Test using test results.
• Plan and manage regression testing of various releases using manual and automated means as necessary and communicating critical issues and risks to management.
• Collaborate with Full Stack Software Developers to debug problems with Application Under Test.
• Continuously improve software development and QA processes by reviewing and evaluating existing practices.

 

Desired Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience as Tester, QA Engineer, Computer Programmer, Application Support Engineer or Systems Analyst in a financial or high tech industry. 
• Experience specified must include 2+ years: utilizing quality assurance frameworks, techniques, and best practices, including one or more major third-party automation suite (e.g. Selenium); and utilizing fundamental n-tier system architectures including communication protocols, logging, database fundamentals, application tier configurations, presentation layer configurations, and likely points of failure in each. 
• Experience specified must include  professional experience in SQL; and in a modern computing language (e.g. Java, C#, or Python)
