Job description:             

We are looking for a payments platform software engineer to help us evolve build our Business-to-Business (B2B) payments platform, and our go-forward B2B solutions design, development, and delivery capabilities.

B2B payments means solutions that support the transference of funds and corresponding information between Payers (Health Plans) and Provider Networks through a variety of channels, including ACH and VCC.

B2B has risen to the challenge and delivered important solutions, and is now looking to take action on lessons learned, and establish the platform that will extend our success well into the future.  This platform will depend greatly on interfaces (EDI, web services, API) to interoperate with legacy technologies while providing brisk delivery to business requirements.

 

Duties: design, develop, and document new payments functionality in partnership with team lead and payments architects, including new services (API, .NET w/s, EDI/ETL) and possible extension of legacy tech stacks.

Technical Qualifications

Required

·         8+ years of demonstrable experience and proficiency in: the design and development of service components/layers, integration with legacy technologies

·         .NET Framework (MVC and other etc.), , C#, Node JS,

·         JQuery, JSONJavaScript, XML,

·         Oracle (SQL Server 2012+ nice to have)

·         API services and interfaces, REST & SOAP

·         Visual Studio (2013+) and Team Foundation Server

Desired

·         Agile methodologies, TDD, workflow and session processing, networking and file transfer

·         Experience with AWS

·         CICD automation – Jenkins, TFS, Octupus Deploy, Bamboo, Chef, run deck etc…

·         Shell Scripting, Python, Ruby

·         Undergraduate degree in computer science or related area of expertise

·         Previous experience in banking (notably treasury), card or payments-related industry

·         Previous experience in healthcare/services industry

Non-Technical Qualifications

·         Able to quickly internalize business requirements while asking constructive questions

·         Able to effectively influence high-level designs while driving to high-quality delivery

·         Quality documentation, effective partnership with Quality Engineering

·         Self-motivated, both an independent thinker, and a good team member

·         Willingness to put in effort needed to meet agreed deadlines

·         Candidate is asked to be ready to present relevant real world examples and to expect a randomly selected coding exercise.
