Job Description:

 

The CONNECTIONS project is an ongoing effort to provide the development, maintenance, and support activities on the New York State’s Automated Child Welfare Information System for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary Agencies. This system includes the following components:

• Child Protective Services (CPS) Intake

• Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation

• Resource Directory & Foster Adoptive Home Development (FAD)

• Case Management / Family Services (FSS)

This system is a complex and highly integrated application which consists of several development and end user supported environments. These environments interface/interact with legacy applications and other 3rd party software.

 

The following activities are indicative of the assignments/outcomes expected of this individual:

 

• work with Executive Management identifying and implementing an organization wide Project Management Office

• work with Executive Management developing Advance Planning Document Updates (ADPU) documents

• provide project resource management reports to Executive Management

• provide day-to-day management of the Projects’ construction team overseeing multiple SDLC phases and schedules

• evaluate project management standards, practices and procedures currently in place, recommend improvements where necessary

• participation in project tracking, risk and issue tracking, status reporting, quality assurance, change control

• provide Project Management mentoring - assist staff regarding best practices and provide guidance and support for project management issues and questions
