Sybase/SQL Developer

 

Location: New York

Duration: 6+ Months

Rate: Market

 

Must Have:

·         Experience working as a Sybase Database Developer on ASE 15.7/12.5.4 versions.

·         Experience creating Database objects (Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers etc)

·         Experience with Sybase Transact SQL programming and proficient in the following areas:

o   Stored Procedures, Cursors, Triggers, Transactions, Batch programming

o   Experience with performance tuning of stored procedures /triggers

o   Very good understanding of Query plans.

o   Should be able to fine tune queries.

o   Solid experience with Sybase Client utilities such as isql, bcp, defncopy etc.

o   Unix Shell scripting and experience with Cron scheduler desirable

 

Nice to have:
Database design concepts for OLTP as well as DW applications.
Experience with Sybase Replication server - especially around creating replication stored procedures.
Experience /Exposure to Sybase IQ 16.0 is highly desirable.
