Position Overview:

We are seeking an Oracle-PL/SQL Lead who can develop and provide support to all system interfaces and coordinate with all project managers to provide specifications for all core modules.

The incumbent would be leading our client-facing team of experts focused on customer satisfaction, execution and delivery. Collaborate with various departments and perform research on all data processing functions. Design and analyze all computer hardware, firmware and embedded systems and prepare and maintain various reports for metrics. Monitor and identify specific programming languages and recommend enhancement to all programs and evaluate all software resolution.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

•          Closely work with client to discuss the new requirements and project updates

•          Coordinate with different stakeholders to get the capacity data

•          Process, correction and load the data into our system for further process

•          Apex reporting/Dashboard Reporting.

•          Writing SQL/PL-SQL queries and procedures as and when required

•          Involve in meetings with different stakeholders along with client

•          Coordination with off- shore team

•          Proactively work with client in new project initiatives

 

Required Skills:

•          Candidate must have 6-8 years of relevant experience in the IT Industry

•          Excellent in writing optimized SQL, PL/SQL involving big tables.

•          Must have experience with Oracle Apex.

•          Strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills & should be able to interact directly with customers and key stakeholders.

•          Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

 

Desired Skills:

•          Java, AJAX, JQuery

Additional Information:

•          Deployment on Client Side

•          Should have experience working with Oracle databases and writing/running SQL queries

•          Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with customers and stakeholders

•          Work with offshore project resources to understand the application and process of uploads using APEX tool

Responsibilities :

UNIX SUPPORT: Provide UNIX system and servers support to business users. Includes trouble-shooting problems or projects related activities. Handle escalated issues, and provide technical resolutions to on-site staff members.
PROJECTS: Work with guidance on several concurrent projects in a highly dynamic environment. Assume the technical responsibility on multiple projects simultaneously; interface with customers in order to resolve technical system, application, and end user issues.
INTEGRATION: Support the integration and implementation of UNIX systems and applications, and provide operational support for same.
INSTALLATION: Install and configure Sun Solaris Servers and related systems; assist business users and Unix Engineers with the setup and installation of their applications and tests within the UNIX environment.
ENGINEERING: Work with other technical teams, gather requirements; determine, document, and propose viable solutions against these requirements. With guidance from Senior System Administrators, plan and implement these solutions in cooperation other system administrators and technical teams.
PROBLEM RESOLUTION: Perform root cause analysis and determine cause of problems in order to develop specific solution to an issue

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree and/or experience
Minimum of five years of system administration experience in a UNIX production business environment with substantial knowledge of the UNIX operating system, with extensive experience on Solaris 8/10, Linux (SLES 9/10 and RedHat 5.6 ) operating systems.

Skills:

The system administrator will work on, IBM hardware (IBM System X ----x346, x366, x3650, x3850, HS20, HS40, HS21. HS22). Hardware knowledge on the different types of components of servers is required, including assembly, defining configurations for upgrades.
Run UNIX commands from UNIX shells, be able to operate in csh or ksh environment, review or write shell scripts and understand general shell scripting practices.
Must have knowledge of programming or writing shell scripts in languages such as Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, and Perl preferred.
Set up network interfaces on servers, trouble shoot, and resolve network issues related to the servers. Must understand basic networking items such as Ethernet, ARP, and TCP/IP.
Working Knowledge of LDAP , DNS.
Experience with Remedy or other ticketing systems preferred
In their normal duties the system administrator will be called on to perform the following customer service functions: setting customer expectations and working with customers to achieve best results; demonstrate cooperative teaming skills to achieve results that cannot be derived from the system administrators actions alone; and the ability to collaborate within a cross functional team.
Experience with HPC environments a plus. (torque, condor, pbs, sun grid engine, platform lsf, platform symphony)
